Our Current Assignment

It is an absolute honor to step onto the mission field, but it is an equal honor to accomplish the task that has been given to us before our feet can touch Zambian soil again. Our first assignment is to share with others the same vision that God has shared with our family and build a team of people that are willing to partner with God to see that vision come to fruition. Imagine a like-minded group of people from all over the country, even the world, coming together to give prayer and funding for the purpose of seeing the Gospel spread throughout the Western Province of Zambia! This growing network of people is a powerful image of  God's love for the people of Sioma. The Kingdom of God will reign in Zambia! Consider partnering with our family as we work to accomplish His plan for this beautiful people group together.

But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?

Serving in Sioma

with Overland Missions

Sioma is located in the Western Province of Zambia. Our base is strategically positioned in the bush along the bank of the Zambezi River, allowing our team to live among the Lozi people in close proximity to their villages. We are believing for deep friendships with those we encounter as we live our everyday lives together. Our family is excited and expectant as we prepare to join our incredible team and live among the Lozi people, sharing the message of the gospel and making disciples that will propel this message to further unreached villages.

Pray with us that striving and religion would be replaced by a solid understanding of the freedom of the gospel and that the witchcraft that has affected generations of Lozi families would be deconstructed by the healing power of the Holy Spirit.

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly."

John 10:10

Testimonies from Zambia

“This was one of my favorite houses that we visited in the entire village.
Heres why:
We found a widow. A lady in pain throughout her body. A grandma who had tried to heal herself in whatever way she knew how (usually through local witch doctors). But a time of freedom approached as we shared the Gospel. She wanted JESUS more than anything else.
Her name is Sicily. She repented and renounced the ties she once had to witchcraft. As we prayed with Sicily the joy of the Lord
overcame her! She began to sing, to dance, and to laugh. Sicily said her body felt warm. The fever she had disappeared; she felt better than ever before. All her pain was gone!
Why was this my favorite house? Because the biggest part of her testimony wasn't being healed, it was knowing that her spirit was brought to life and her soul was saved by grace through faith, full of Holy Spirit and a new creation in the family of God…forever,” Kandice, expedition team member.

Over the past 6 years, we’ve trained 174 chaplains who serve as spiritual advisors to their traditional chiefs in Zambia.
These men, chosen by their chiefs, come from many different denominations, but the message of the Gospel brought them into a deeper revelation of unity as the body of Christ.

“On our expedition to Moomba chiefdom, we came upon this elderly woman sitting outside her home, and we immediately noticed the charms tied around her chest. She was all smiles and invited us to come and speak to them. We spent 3 hours talking about Jesus on the cross, the sufficiency of his sacrifice & protection, the grace of God, the authority of the believer, and that the only One who we can trust is Jesus. Through our conversation, she and another woman decided to cut off their charms, throw them into the fire, and they and two others gave their lives to Jesus, trusting fully in his death and resurrection,” Lynsey H, expedition leader
